Shuna, Are the crayon containers Sterilite? I have some and one broke last year. I haven't been able to find a replacement and I wondered if you knew where I should look. Thanks,Donna W.email@example.com
They are Sterilite! I got them from Walmart about 4 years agoI still see them from time to time there
Each child gets their own big plastic drawer to put all their bookwork etc.. in, but all the consumables like pencils, tape, glue etc... are on my shelves in their respective containers to use by everybody.I also make sure EVERYTHING has a place. If it doesn't have a home, we can't keep it. I need to be able to have everything cleaned up and put away each day.I would NEVER leave scissors in a caddy anymore. Maybe a few years ago, but after 3 serious hair incidents, and the loss of one keyboard cord, ummmmm, I'm just going to have to keep them separate. LOLThe Paper Maid
LUckily I haven't had any accidents with the scissors and hair!Last year my students had crayon boxes where they had their own personal glue, scissors and crayonsWe talk about scissor safety a lot during the beginning of the yearIf someone is using the scissors incorrectly then I take them and they can't do the cutting activityThis breaks their little heart and then we talk about scissor safety and I usually give them their scissors back after a little whileWorks pretty well because the kiddies so love to cutI haven't had any cutting hair, clothes or hands
