My incoming kinders have to read this story as part of their summer reading requirement

This is one of the first stories we cover with the kinderbabies

So I created a unit to go along with the book

  1. Wow! What an awesome packet! I love these packets that are based on a kindergarten book classic. I can reread the books (I do anyway) and then have several different activities/centers to go with the book.
    Thanks!

  5. Brown Bear is a favorite of mine! I do an Eric Carle theme every year, though I usually do mine in May to wrap up the year with many of his books. I would love to see this type of unit but with a different theme, like the previous poster said; I do a huge community helpers unit every September where we work on the main 4 helpers my students come into contact with-firefighters, police officers, teachers, and doctors-that would be great for me! Thanks for the freebies as well! :)

  6. I did not see a place to answer the question so I will do that here.
I think if you could make more activities to go along side books that are used in kindergarten that would very useful to everyone.

    Thanks for everything.

    Thanks,

  8. I love your packets (especially the one that I won last week, Diary of a Worm resources. I would say that I think you should continue with book related resources, it is such an easy way for teachers to use one book and touch upon all of the content areas.

    Thanks again!

  20. I'm also putting in a vote for a Chicka-Chicka unit. I like the way you put in so many activities that re-visiting a book could be much more fun.
